Online Marketing Seminar at Cybernet Expo
This past week I attended Cybernet Expo, a B2B tradeshow for the Adult Industry. I had the honor of being the only female seminar presenter at the expo where I taught about the basics of online marketing. Of course I was nervous as I haven’t 1) taught in a classroom for over 2 years and 2) you never know what type of crowd you may be walking into.
So after I got into the classroom and LAJ gave me an amazing introduction, I started my class. You want to know how to make sure that the attendees know you are an ex-teacher, have an outline, which I did and question cards. So instead of doing the good old Powerpoint presentation where I sit and click and read off the screen (which I NEVER do), I engaged my attendees by walking around the ballroom, asking questions to the 75 or so participants and made them part of the presentation OR in educational terms aka Cooperative Learning. (Glad my MAT taught me something
) AND yes I did say 75 attendees!
For the attendees or anyone who is interested, I will be posting my notes as blog postings on our Adult Organic SEO blog. I didn’t have time to finish my prepared lesson and the feedback from the attendees was AMAZING! I forget sometimes just because I know using certain techniques to get a Website ranked organically and the basics of online marketing, that not everyone does have this knowledge. The information I did discuss was very helpful to the attendees and I am very happy to hear that they walked away with new techniques to try out and review.
